The podiatry service is about the treatment of feet. The service focuses on those who have the greatest risk of developing foot complications associated with certain medical conditions like:

  • Diabetes
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Vascular Insufficiency (issues with blood flow back to the heart)
  • Neurological issues like stroke

The service provides:

  • wound care
  • vascular assessments and treatments (vein-related)
  • neurological assessments and treatments (related to disorders of the nervous system the brain, spine or other nerves)

The podiatrist can refer you to hospital services if necessary.

It is on the first floor in the centre.

How do I get referred to this service?

The podiatry service  accepts referrals from GPs (doctors) and other health professionals to the central podiatry service in Cork
