Public Health Nursing provides a range of services at Carrigaline Primary Care Centre including:
- child development clinics
- wound care
- ante-natal classes (classes for parents before their child is born)
- breastfeeding
- well baby support groups
Public health nurses and community registered nurses also provide a range of services in the local community for:
- older people
- people with disabilities
Where needed, the service provides support to:
- people who have been discharged home from hospital
- the terminally ill

Public health nurses are based on the second floor in the centre.
How I get referred to this service?
Your GP (doctor) or any other health care professional can refer you to see a public health nurse.
You or your family can also make a referral to see a public health nurse. You ring the above number and ask for an appointment.
